QUESTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

"To ask the Chief Executive to outline what grants if any are available to summer projects for upgrading their IT systems, e.g. websites and storage for documents; what criteria can need to be met; and if a statement can be made on the matter?"

REPLY:

There are no grants available for Summer Projects to upgrade I.T. Systems. Funding is provided to Summer Projects to assist with the costs of organising activities for local youth during the Summer Periods. The Community Services Dept. also arrange a variety of programmes that Summer Projects can avail of and the costs of these are met by funds within the Community Services Dept.

Summer Project Committees should be advised to contact their Local Community Development Teams to discuss assistance available.
