MOTION: Councillor D. O'Brien

"That the Chief Executive provide a report on the total number of properties the council currently have on the HAP scheme north of the Naas road. This report will include the total cost paid for the scheme in 2017."

REPORT:

There are 1,024 properties North of the Naas Road in the HAP scheme.

HAP Shared Services Centre is run by Limerick City and County Council on behalf of the 31 local authorities across the country. The Housing Assistance Payment is paid directly to the landlord. Tenants are charged the differential rent set by South Dublin Council. HAP rates are set by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government.
