MOTION: Councillor Emma Hendrick

"That this Area Committee asks the Chief Executive to extend the fence on top of the wall separating Knockmore Drive and Killinarden Park, to deter joyrider’s from entering Killinarden Park."

REPORT:

"Following complaints from residents of Knockmore Crescent who were experiencing a lot of problems with gangs hanging around outside their houses and cars being driven recklessly and burnt out at this location, a traffic calming feasibility study was requested from Roads Department by Estate Management Section of the Housing Department. 

The request to extend fencing along the Killinarden Stub wall would require a major financial outlay and  there has been no reported incidents at this location in over a year 

If there are further incidents occurring which have not been reported, we can examine again to establish if there are alternative solutions which could be implemented."
