QUESTION: Councillor Rob Russell
"To ask the Chief Executive how many vacant houses are currently available in the Terenure/Templeogue LEA and how many part V units are coming on stream this year?
REPLY:
"To date this Council have formalised agreements with developers to deliver 9 units under the Part V requirement for 10% of social housing on private residential developments by the end of 2018. These units will be delivered over 2 private developments in the Templeogue/Terenue electoral area.

In line with South Dublin County Council Vacant Homes Strategy 2017 the Council are progressing through the analysis of properties reported as vacant in the GEO Directory as of March 2017. The current number now privately owned vacant properties in SDCC which are not derelict or vacant sites is 26. Within the Templeogue/Terenure area there are 2 properties vacant. SDCC are now in the process of writing to the remaining property owners to advise of the Repair and Leasing Scheme and Buy to Renew Scheme available and will offer assistance if required."
