MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"That this Committee requests the Chief Executive to consider placing a traffic warden at the mini roundabout along Esker Drive (opposite Finians estate) (see map). Residents have reported that this location has recently had an increase in footfall particularly school children/parents and it is difficult to cross at this location in a safe manner."

REPORT:

The Road Safety Officer visited this area on Monday 15^th January ’18 from 2.30pm to 3.15pm and again from 3.45pm to 4.15pm for the pass-through of students from both primary and second level schools.

 A re-inspection needs to be carried out when the weather improves to get an accurate number crossing this road.

A further report will be brought to the next Traffic Management Meeting to be held in March.
