MOTION NO. 10
MOTION: Councillor D. O'Brien
"To ask the Chief Executive for a report as to why the Christmas lights in Lucan village cannot be connected in to the public lighting system in the Village next year. A large amount of money was spent to install the system, why can it not be connected again to this system."
REPORT:
To clarify:
1. The festive lighting as installed before Christmas 2017 by our maintenance contractor will remain on all five trees.
2. The lighting will be inspected and connected to the council energy supply by our maintenance contractor on an agreed date
before Christmas 2018 if the equipment is deemed to be in a sound condition. The lighting will be inspected and disconnected
by our maintenance contractor after the Christmas period.
