"That this Area Committee make a submission to the Eastern & Midland Regional Assembly consultation on Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy, detailing exactly what we feel is needed in our areas given the increase in development and the need for more public transport solutions and a balance between urban and rural life."

REPORT:

"The consultation process for the Eastern and Midlands Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy has commenced with the publication of a background issues paper and socio-economic report. The closing date for submissions is 26th January 2018. The Land Use, Planning and Transportation Department will be preparing a submission on behalf of South Dublin County Council. This submission will address the key issues facing the county including settlement and public transport."
