QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the following schemes committed to by the Council;
(1) The Ballymount Local Area Plan;
(2) The Walkinstown Roundabout Study;
(3) The proposed new Whitehall-Wellington cycle scheme update (including plans for Perrystown village"
REPLY:
"(1) It is part of the Planning Department Work Programme to review of the Ballymount Local Area Plan. It is anticipated that work will commence on the preparation of the Ballymount Local Area Plan in Q3 of 2018.
(2) The Walkinstown Roundabout Study is being considered by the NTA as part of their Core Bus Strategy which is due for public consultation in Q1 2018.
(3) A presentation on this scheme was submitted to the Rathfarnham/Templeogue-Terenure Area Committee Meeting in Nov 2017, where it was stated that the Council would seek funding of this scheme from the NTA for 2018. If agreed, the revised preliminary design will commence as soon as possible."
