MOTION: Councillor D. O'Brien

"This Area Committee welcomes the setting up of a new Policing Forum for Lucan as agreed at the last North Clondalkin forum. Can an update be given as to the way this forum will be set up, when the first meeting will take place and the timeframe for it to be up and running."

REPORT:

It was agreed at the group session at the North Clondalkin, Palmerstown and Lucan LPF Public meeting held on the 9th November 2017 to set up a structure for the involvement of residents in the Lucan Village and Adamstown areas policed from Lucan Garda Station possibly through the Neighbourhood Watch structure. A meeting was provisionally set, but it clashes with the North Clondalkin, Palmerstown and Lucan LPF Management meeting in December 2017 where feedback on the public meeting will be considered. It is anticipated that a meeting will now be held early in 2018.
