QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole
"That this Committee requests that the Chief Executive consider the following proposal:
That SDCC Parks Department in agreement with the Management committee of Ballyfermot Sports Complex Gurteen Road Ballyfermot Dublin 10 put in at the Councils cost a pedestrian gate from Gleanaulin Park Palmerstown Dublin 20 into the grounds of Ballyfermot Sports Complex this would facilitate safe pedestrian traffic, allow people use bathrooms, car-parking etc. The Sports Complex was built by Dublin Corporation in 1985 & the lease with the park lands known as the Gaels where transferred to the then Dublin Co Council in the early 1990`s."
REPLY:
There is a difference in level between the Sports Complex and Glenaulin Park. In order to assess this proposal fully, further details of the location for the proposed gate are required. Upon receipt of these details the matter will be considered further.
