QUESTION: Councillor E. O'Brien

"To ask the Chief Executive to confirm the number of housing inspections carried out by this Local Authority in the Lucan/Palmerstown area in the last 24 months, the percentage of private rented dwellings in the electoral area inspected, and the outcomes, if any, of these inspections?"

REPLY:

A total of 310 private rented property inspections were carried out during the period 01/11/2015 and 23/11/2017 in the Lucan Electoral Area.

The current percentage rate of private rented properties is 10% of all private rented propertied registered with the Residential Tenancy Board with the county.
