QUESTION: Councillor P. Donovan

"Please can dates for the clean out of the lake in Rathfarnham Castle Park be published?"

REPLY:

"A commitment has been given in the past to clean out the lake at Rathfarnham Castle Park, to remove litter and debris as well as silt and sludge, and it is intended to proceed with these works at the earliest possible date.  It is felt that the equipment required to desludge the lake is not readily available to the Council and therefore a tender process will be required to procure the necessary plant.  This tender process will be run now with the intention of carrying out the works early in 2018."
