SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF RATHFARNHAM/TEMPLEOGUE-TERENURE AREA COMMITTEE

QUESTION NO.3
QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
"To ask the Chief Executive to consider a new traffic management/congestion plan, including cycle routes, bus services and commuting traffic, for the Ballycullen/Woodstown area in light of already heavy congestion which will be further compounded by the new development adjacent to Gunny Hill, and to make a statement on the matter?"
REPLY:
"Such matters are considered at Planning Application stage and all mitigation measures possible are included by way of design and condition. We will continue to add cycle ways on publicly owned lands where required.
We are in discussion with Dublin Bus about continued improvements in their network; they too await the outcome of the expert review of the entire Dublin Bus operation for recommendations and alterations."
