QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
"To ask the Manager in respect of the Affordable Housing Scheme, where applicants are eligible to purchase an apartment in a new housing scheme, if it is the case that South Dublin County Council provide an Engineer's/Surveyor's report for such a property completely separate from the Applicant, and if he will make a statement on the matter?"
REPLY:
Before South Dublin County Council acquire properties for affordable housing a snag list is submitted to the builder. Architect certs of compliance are also submitted by the builders architect stating that the premises have been built in accordance with the planning and building regulations. Applicants purchasing under affordable housing are advised to have the premises they are purchasing independently examined.
