QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
To ask the Chief Executive if the Council has received additional funding from the government for the Home Adaption Scheme and will he confirm what actions he is taking to publicise the availability of this funding.
REPLY:
The Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government has approved €1.5m funding towards housing adaptations grants to South Dublin County in May 2017.

South Dublin Co. Co. has spent €779, 7585.82 on private grants towards housing adaptations which represents 49% of Departmental Allocation for 2017. Housing department currently have 181 number of applications on hand and based on the number of grants approved to end of June it is anticipated that South Dublin Co. Co. will utilise the private grants budget allocation in full by the end 2017 and cater for valid applications on hand.
