MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"That this committee writes to Irish Water to notify reports of poor quality & tasting water in the Lucan area."

REPORT:

Irish Water has recently commenced publishing Drinking Water Quality results on their website.

These results can be found at the following weblink; https://www.water.ie/water-supply/water-quality/ 

As part of this development Irish Water has asked all Local Authorities to cease the publication of drinking water quality results.

South Dublin County Council has complied with this request and we have placed a notice directing visitors to our website to Irish Water.

Members are reminded that Irish Water have established a Local Representatives Service Desk which is committed to giving speedy responses to Elected Officials.

If the Motion is passed a letter will be issued to Irish Water and when a reply is received it will be issued to the Members.
