Application for Arts Grants

Carline Learning Centre

 In reference to the attached application, The Carline Learning Centre, which is based in Balgaddy in Lucan, is seeking assistance to run an eight week drama course, in association with the Gaiety Theatre, for young people who attend the centre.

 The programme will enable the young people to explore, clarify and express ideas and experiences through the medium of drama.

 The Centre works with young people who cannot access mainstream education due to learning support, educational, emotional, social or behavioural issues.

 The Arts Office recommends that an award of €1000 be made to Carline Learning Centre, under the Arts Act 2003, to to run an eight week drama course for young people who cannot access mainstream education.
