QUESTION NO. 7
QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
"To ask the Chief Executive to respond positively to calls by St Martin's Residents Association in the general Aylesbury/Old Bawn area for actions in respect of issues of concern to them particularly in relation to the condition of the Park at Aylesbury Estate close to Tymon Bawn Community Centre?"
REPLY:
Representations received in recent times by the Council's Public Realm Section on behalf of the St Martin's Residents Association have for the most part related to the presence of litter in the area. The litter warden for the area has recently visited the Aylesbury shopping centre and has reported that satisfactory arrangements appear to be in place there by way of litter bin provision and regular clean ups. The Public Realm Section has recently recommenced grass cutting and will put in place arrangements to ensure that the open space at Aylesbury is litter picked ahead of grass cutting taking place. The request for the provision of additional public litter bins will be re-examined to establish if there is a need for these in the area.
