MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor M. Ward

"Due to the increase in illegal dumping in the Clondalkin LEA and the cessation  of the Gateway Programme, this committee calls on the Council to employ new staff and provide extra resources to the Public Realm section. If the Council have not got the resources to provide these staff then this committee calls for the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government to provide these."

REPORT:

The return to recruitment is a key priority of South Dublin County Council and has been ongoing since the lifting of the government’s moratorium on recruitment and promotion in the public service in 2015.

Work Force Plan numbers for the Public Realm have already been approved and recruitment to fill all vacancies is ongoing.
