MOTION: Councillor S. Holland

"That this committee write to the Greater Dublin Transport Authority inviting them to meet to discuss ongoing transport needs of the Ballycullen/Firhouse/Ballyboden communities given the projected increase of road users and existing traffic problems, which are exacerbated by a dearth of public transport solutions."

REPORT:

"The National Transport Authority is the statutory body (operating under the aegis of the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport) for undertaking strategic planning of transport and developing the effective management of traffic and public transport demand in the Greater Dublin Area.

If the Motion is passed an invitation will be issued to the NTA as requested."
