MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor B. Ferron

"That this Committee requests that the Chief Executive carries out an inspection of the area at the rear of Avonmore Park and carry out works to remove the overgrowth. The Committee also requests that treatment for rodent infestation takes place as residents have complained about rats spotted in that area. Given the new works at this location the residents are anxious to see this area cleaned up. 

REPORT:

"The overgrowth to the rear of Avonmore Park is enclosed between a high palisade fence and the rear boundaries of the Avonmore Park houses and is not accessible.  The overgrowth to the side of 18 Avonmore Park is accessible and will be cut back as requested.  The general area will be cleaned up as requested and soil placed and grass seed sown as necessary, to properly finish the area following the completion of the construction of the new wall.  The Council's pest control specialist will be asked to examine the area with regard to the presence of rodents and to take the necessary action to deal with the matter."
