QUESTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

"To ask the Chief Executive for a further update on the current timescale for Griffeen Valley Park playground construction and completion further to my most recent Membersreps query and to outline details of the tender process to date?"

REPLY:

Griffeen Valley park playground is programmed for refurbishment and upgrade in 2017. The playground tender was prepared and sent to tender in 2016 / 2017. The tenders have been returned and the council are currently assessing them.

Once appointed the council can agree a programme of works with the successful tenderer. It is intended to bring the winning playground design to the Lucan Area Committee as a headed item, once the successful tenderer is appointed.
