QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

"To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the state of the footpaths in Glenaulin Park/Gaels field. Many residents complain that it is becoming increasingly impossible to walk, use a wheelchair or push a buggy on some pathways due to damage much of which seems to be caused by vandals burning bins and other material?"

REPLY:

An assessment of the paths is Glenaulin Park will be carried out to determine and quantify the extent of damaged paths present.  Should it be required, quotations will be invited for the repair of damaged sections to be undertaken in the current year.
