QUESTION: Councillor J. Graham

"To ask the Chief Executive to confirm that as of now, how many tenants have applied for the incremental tenant purchase scheme, and of those how many have been successful?"

REPLY:

The total number of applications received under the Incremental Tenant Purchase Scheme, commenced in January 2016, is 55.    Of those, 18 applications have been refused on one/more of the following grounds:

• Under Occupied
• Rent Arrears
• Excluded
• Tenancy
• Income
• Specially adapted

36 applications are awaiting submission of additional support documentation to facilitate assessment in accordance with the Incremental Purchase Scheme guidelines.  Formal approval in respect of one application is currently being progressed.
