QUESTION: Councillor F.N. Duffy

"To ask the Chief Executive to give a breakdown of the amount of homeless beds funded by the local authority in each of the Council's electoral areas, and to comment on their occupancy levels in recent months"

REPLY:                                                           

All homeless emergency accommodation is funded directly by the DRHE. All beds under the control and management of SDCC are fully occupied continuously. Emergency beds in the Council area are dependent on what is made available on a daily basis by the various hotels and as a result it is not possible to stipulate the number in each electoral.  All other emergency accommodation within the SDCC administrative area which is managed by the Central Placement Services would also have full occupancy levels.
