QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons
To ask how many houses SDCC has built in 2014, 2015 and 2016? How many are planned to be built in 2017? What is the delay in getting building done?
REPLY:
There were no houses built by SDCC in 2014 and 2015. A total of 15 houses were built in 2016 in the following locations:

There are a total of 11 projects with approximately 394 social housing units which are progressing through the cost approvals process with the Department of Housing Planning Community and Local Government. To date final cost approval on contractor costs (Stage 4) has been granted on 2 projects, for 29 units, and these are due to commence construction in early February 2017. A total of 8 projects which have Part 8 approval and are at various stage of cost approvals which is outlined below. A further 3 Rapid Build Projects are pending Part 8 planning approval which are included in SDCC rapid build targets for completion in late 2017/early 2018.
