QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on the automation of gates in Tymon Park; specifically, when will the gates off Wellington Lane be opened early on Saturday morning to accommodate those taking part in the ParkRun; will football teams at the Limekiln end of the park be informed of and included in these changes so that cars can be parked in the car park rather than on Limekiln Rd, Kippure Ave and Lugnaquilla Ave; and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

Works to automate the main vehicular entrance gates at both Castletymon Road and Limekiln Road have now been completed and these will be commissioned in the near future.  Regrettably there has been a delay in the provision of the necessary power supply at the Wellington Lane gates which has slightly delayed progress at this location.  Works at this entrance will not now be completed and commissioned until the new year.
