QUESTION NO. 4
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
"The Woodford clean up group does great work and leaves the bagged rubbish it collects at Boomers to be collected by the Council. However, those bags are being added to with bags of domestic rubbish to such an extent that the group would like the source of these bags to be investigated. Could this be done please."
REPLY:
The Council is aware of the issue referred to.
A similar problem had developed at another location in Clondalkin Village and was addressed by arranging for specific bags to be used, and gathered for their collection from a resident’s garden.
Two reports were received in relation to the problem with "additional" bags at Woodford and these were examined. However no evidence was found.
We will work with the group to see if we can establish a new collection point which can be suitably accessed by a maintenance vehicle.
