QUESTION: Councillor M. Ward
"To ask the Chief Executive when the Part 8 for the Knockmitten Park Astro Turf will be presented to members for approval?"
REPLY:
The Property Registration Authority confirmed on the 3rd October 2016 that the lands in question have been registered and legal services have also verified that the lands are now correctly registered to the Council.
A survey of the site has taken place and that information is now being digitised. The detail from this survey will inform the preliminary design for the Part VIII public consultation process.
In tandem with preparation of the Part VIII documentation the council intend meeting with the club to progress the other mandatory legalities required. As there are a few items in train; finalisation of documentation and agreement with the club; the council cannot as yet offer a timeline for commencement of Part VIII process.
