"That this committee asks the Chief Executive to report on the number and type of houses that will be available to the council once the next phase of houses built in Adamstown."
REPORT:
"In accordance with Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), future planning applications within Adamstown SDZ will be subject to a 10% social housing requirement. Construction has been underway in Adamstown since 2004 and to date, 149 residential units have already been provided to South Dublin County Council through the Part V process. South Dublin County Council will require all the developers to enter into a Part V agreement with the Planning Authority prior to submission of all applications, with Part V commitments conditional as part of any grant of permission. Until such time as planning applications are submitted and dealt with, the number and type of houses available to the Council in the next phase of development cannot be determined at this time."
