MOTION NO. 11

MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"That this committee ask that SDCC to look at a location within the Global Garden for a 40ft x 12ft container for Clondalkin Men's Shed (will be supplied by the Men's Shed Ireland) - We agree this would not only sort out the accommodation needs of Clondalkin Men's Shed, but would provide opportunities for inclusion for both older and intercultural citizens. The Clondalkin Men's shed would also participate in the upkeep of the Garden. Also that security around the Garden be looked at".  

REPORT:

The Local Community Development Team will make contact with both the Global Garden Group and the Clondalkin Men's Shed Group and both look at and assess all elements and practicalities that need to be taken into consideration to determine the potential of this proposal and will provide a report back to this Area Committee of its findings and recommendations.
