QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
To ask the Chief Executive if he will seek funding from the NTA for the purposes of establishing a pilot supervised school bus service, noting in particular the finding of the NTA Greater Dublin Transport Strategy 2016 – 2035 that “the school run has become an increasingly important element in traffic congestion across the region, particularly in the morning peak”?
REPLY:
The Establishment of a supervised school bus service will be dicussed with the NTA under the Sustainable Transport Measures Programme. The Members will be advised of the outcome of the discussion.
