QUESTION: Councillor S. Holland

"To ask the Chief Executive how often are the bins emptied in the playspace at Park Community Centre? Please compare the details now with the details before the gateway staff left?"

REPLY:

"The litter bins at Ballycragh Park were previously serviced by Gateway staff on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week.  Since the winding down of the Gateway scheme the servicing of these bins has been taken on by the sideloader driver operating in the Firhouse / Ballycullen area, the bins in question however have continued to be serviced on the same days each week.  The matter has been examined and a decision taken to increase the service frequency to daily for these bins and this change will be implemented immediately."
