MOTION NO. 20

MOTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

"That the Manager draw up an integrated plan for the Dodsboro/The Paddocks/Tandy's Lane area of Lucan and liaises with other sections of the Council such as Transportation and Planning regarding same so that hedge cutting, litter monitoring, road cleaning, road maintenance and related issues being experienced by neighbouring estates and individual residences are sorted out in a coherent way to enable the area to be maintained adequately by Environmental Services while also allowing a smooth transition for the planned creation of a link road between both parts of Adamstown"

REPORT:

"As with any new road which is taken in charge by SDCC there are a number of work activities which arise that need to be incorporated within the various work programmes of the Public Realm Section. These activities include road sweeping, gully clearing, hedge cutting (where appropriate), grass cutting and litter picking.

The Public Realm Section is not aware of any issues being experienced by neighbouring estates and individual residences, however in the event that any issues are made known they will be addressed as best as possible within the capacity of the Public Realm Section.

Issues pertaining to Transportation and Planning should be referred to the relevant departments for their attention."
