QUESTION NO. 22
QUESTION: Councillor L. Dunne
"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the Motion that was discussed in June as below?
50091 | Councillor C. King, Councillor L. Dunne | Tallaght Area Committee | Tallaght Area Committee Meeting 27th June 2016 | Motions | 14/06/2016 |
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to examine the possibility and feasibility of opening back up the entrance into Rathcoole Park from Springbank Estate, Saggart while taking into account the petition to open it back up that has been signed by the majority of resident in the Estate." |
REPLY:
"While the Council's Public Realm Section is open to the idea of an entrance from Springbank into Rathcoole Park it would be necessary to construct a proper entrance at this location which is safe for public use, if such an entrance is to be opened. A scheme to put this in place will be costed for consideration by the members for possible inclusion in the 2017 improvement works programme.
It was discussed and accepted by the elected members at the June 2016 meeting that the local residents should be consulted on this matter. It is hoped that this consultation will be carried out in the coming weeks."
