QUESTION: Councillor E. O'Brien
"To ask the Chief Executive to confirm when a draft plan for the Clonburris SDZ will become available to be viewed by councillors?"
REPLY:
"South Dublin County Council are currently working on the preparation of the draft Clonburris SDZ Planning Scheme. As part of this preparation a review was carried out of the 2008 Clonburris Planning Scheme and Local Area Plan and changes in legislation and guidance. Arising from the review it was decided that a number of issues required further assessment, including:
It is anticipated that the draft Planning Scheme will go on public display at the end of the year. There will be an opportunity for the public to inspect the draft for a period of not less than 6 weeks in accordance with the provisions of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and to make submissions during the consultation period. It is intended to keep the Elected Members up to date as the SDZ Planning Scheme progresses."
