MOTION: Councillor E. O'Brien

"That the Chief Executive, noting the provision of further funding in the budget for 2017 for the construction of a swimming pool in Lucan, to outline the next steps to be taken with a view to delivering the said swimming pool and the timeline envisaged"

REPORT:

"Local authorities may not proceed to the next stage of a project until prior written approval issues from the Department.   South Dublin County Council received approval from the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport to appoint a design team on 21st October.   This approval we hope will allow us to meet our timeline of completion by end of 2018."
