QUESTION NO.7

QUESTION: Councillor B. Ferron

"To ask the Chief Executive if he can please confirm how many units received either windows or door replacement in the Tallaght Area in the year to date. Can the Chief Executive also please confirm how many people are currently on the list in Tallaght by year and grading and electoral area. Can the Chief Executive please confirm when he would expect all units with the most severe need to have their windows and doors installed at the current replacement rate?"

REPLY:

"There are currently 870 applicants on the Windows and Doors Replacement Programme in this Committee area.  However we only replace windows that are graded 5 or worse and there are 458 on that list.

This list is live and added to each year through tenant contact. The waiting time on the list for replacement is dependent on a number of factors including status of rent account and whether or not the tenant is involved in any anti-social behaviour. Priority is given to applicants with serious medical conditions. Currently the waiting time on the list is on average 4-5 years.

75 units of accommodation had their windows/doors replaced in the area of the TAC area in 2016. 67 of these were in the Tallaght and 8 in Rathfarnham.

There are currently 458 applicants on the list for the Tallaght and Rathfarnham areas. Further details as requested are set out on the tables below:
