MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Area Committee, notwithstanding the results of recent counts, agrees to reaffirm the decision of Councillors in early 2015 to recommend installation of a zebra crossing at Foxborough Road at Centra; and requests the Chief Executive to install a zebra crossing at this busy main through-road as requested by local residents to ensure a safe crossing point for pedestrians, particularly children, seeking to access the shop and bus-stops."

REPORT:

The results of the count are attached. The provision of a Zebra Crossing is not recommended at this time. SDCC are reviewing our overall warrant criteria for pedestrian crossings and will re-assess at a later stage.
