MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor E. Murphy

"That the Chief Executive carries out a review the recent Marley Park concerts and festivals and their impact on residents in Ballyboden and Rathfarnham. Residents have noted grievances in relation to access to estates, noise pollution, litter, traffic, parking, public transport and anti social behaviour. Can it be examined as to what measures will be taken in relation to any proposed concerts going forward."

REPORT:

The Marlay Park concerts were held in the administrative area of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.  South Dublin County Council made representations on various items prior to the concerts being held.

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council have stated that a review of the Marley Park Concerts 2016 is underway in which they will examine all the different elements that impact on the external environment.  Following on from their review a report will be forwarded to South Dublin County Council. This will be circulated to members.

If any Councillor has any specific complaints these should be referred directly to Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for consideration as part of their review.
