QUESTION: Councillor P. Foley

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the River Poddle Flood Alleviation Scheme?"

REPLY:

The OPW has now agreed the Consultants briefing document that was prepared by SDCC and DCC.

The framework for the appointment of consultants has now expired and a new framework will be required.

A consultant will be appointed to carry out the detailed design as soon as possible after the the framework has been put in place.

It is anticipated that the scheme will commence on site in Mid 2018.
