QUESTION NO. 7
QUESTION: Councillor B. Ferron
"To ask the Chief Executive to give an update when the works as per Motion No. 2 below which was passed at the TAC January Meeting are going to be carried out? The previous response gives February as the date that they would be completed?"
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to arrange the planting of hedging along the wall at the rear of 12 Alderwood Court and other houses that back on to this wall. There is, according to residents, persistent dumping in this area. The residents are of the opinion that if this hedging was put in place it may stop that level of dumping at this area. There have also been break-ins in the area and it may make it more difficult for people to get over the wall if a hedge was put in place.
REPLY:
A previous commitment was given to plant a hedge at the location in question here, the reply given to a motion on the January ACM agenda stated that the new hedge would be planted in February. This work has not yet been carried out and unfortunately the planting of the hedge will now have to be deferred to the next planting season in the Autumn of this year.
