QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive if he would detail what twinning arrangements are currently in place and if he would confirm the last contacts made in this regard?"

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council has formal twinning arrangements in place with the London Borough of Brent and Kreis Segeberg in Germany. The last contact with Brent and Kreis Segeberg was in 2008. The Council also supports the community twinning arrangement between Rathcoole and Ecole Valentine in France and a visit is scheduled for 2016.

The Council also has a 'Sister Cities Agreement' with Tampa, Florida and a delegation from South Dublin County Council with South Dublin Chamber are due to visit Tampa in June 2016.
