That this Committee recognising that Russell Square Estate is now fully in the charge of the Council calls on the Chief Executive to initiate a study to establish whether or not establishing a cul de sac in the vicinity of Russell Place in an effort to provide better road safety for children and to stop "rat running" will be beneficial. That this Committee further calls on the Chief Executive to actively engage and consult with the residents of the Estate on this matter. 

REPORT:

The Transportation Department together with colleagues in the Housing Department are liaising with the residents of Russell Estate to determine the prefereed options in relation to road safety including  consideration of establishing a cul-de-sac.
