MOTION NO. 5

MOTION: Councillor B. Ferron

That this Committee requests that the Chief Executive erect signs in Tymon Park, particularly at the location of play areas, instructing people that dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.

REPORT:

The Park Bye Laws are erected in a number of locations within Tymon Park and in addition to this other signage is in place advising that dog litter should be licked up by the dog owner.  The areas mentioned, such as playgrounds, will be inspected to ensure that adequate signage is in place there.  If there is a clear need for additional dog fouling signage then those additional signs will be put in place in the near future.
