MOTION NO. 1
MOTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
That this Tallaght Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to take effective action in response to all the issues raised by Kingswood Heights Residents Association at their most recent deputations meeting which were then the subject of a report by the Planning Department in response to this members question No.9 at our meeting of Tuesday March 29 last and will he present a detailed response in that regard.
REPORT:
The disposal resolution for land at Kingswood Castle as approved by the elected members at a meeting of 12/10/15 included the following clause "that the developer shall satisfy themselves with regards to access to the site".
The successful bidder is at pre-planning stage and is in discussions in relation to a permanent access entrance to the site. All development proposals for the land will be subject to the requirements of the Planning & Development Act 2000.
Planning permission was granted for a 1000 pupil post primary school at Ballymount Road, Kingswood, Tallaght on 16 November 2015. No development can take place on site until such time as details in relation to the management of pedestrian, cycling and vehicular arrangements for the proposed school is agreed with the Councils Roads Department. To date the Department of Education and Skills has not submitted these details.
