MOTION NO.2
MOTION: Councillor P. Gogarty
That this Council writes to the incoming Ministers for Health and Children and urges them and their cabinet colleagues to reexamine the location for a national children's hospital as a matter of urgency, as the site currently being planned for is in a congested location and difficult to access from the rest of the country; and furthermore recommends a more suitable location such as Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, which is equally accessible to the proposed secondary centre at Tallaght, but also has sufficient space for a world-class facility to be provided in a suitable setting for children.
REPORT:
If this Motion is Passed a letter will issue to the appropriate Minister, and when a reply is received it will be issued to the Members.
