Cathaoirleach's Business

"That this committee asks for a report on St Patricks day parade 2016 in Clondalkin and that this now becomes an annual community event. Also to ask that a letter is issued congratulating the Committee, Volunteers, Businesses and all the community groups involved."

REPORT:

A full report on the parade which this year took place through Clondalkin Village is awaited from the Organising Committee. When the report has been received and considered by the Community Services Department it can be submitted to the Area Committee for discussion. It is a matter entirely for the Organising Committee to hold this annual event but it is hoped that the Council will continue to be in a position to assist the Committee in further developing the parade into a St. Patrick's Festival.

If the motion is passed, the congratulations of the Area Committee will be conveyed to the Committee, Volunteers, Businesses and community groups who were involved.
