Opening of Road through Tallaght Village at IT Tallaght

REPLY:

SDCC investigated the historic reasons why this road was closed to through traffic and are satisfied that it should remain this way.

There are over 300 Dublin Bus movements along this route daily.

In addition, when the route was open in the past it was used for rat running from the N81 to The Square, Belgard Road and surrounding areas.

The access arrangements that exist presently for bussinesses along this route are far more favourable now that they would be if the route was opened up to all even in a one-way direction.
