QUESTION NO. 11

QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

"To ask the Chief Executive to examine the constant flow of water coming from a house on *address supplied" onto the road.  It causes an ice hazard on the road and footpath in the Winter months and is an ongoing health and safety issue all year round. I have raised this issue several times before, both by members rep and acm question.  Could this be addressed please?"

REPLY:

SDCC Water Services, on behalf of Irish Water, recently visited the location and installed a new boundary box on the water supply to the house.

It was discovered that there is a leak on the supply pipe within the boundary of the property.

The residents have been advised that they should arrange to have the leak repaired as soon as possible.

Irish Water are aware of the issue and will arrange a follow up with the residents.
